Resting in Southern Portugal, the province of Algarve offers extraordinary experience to tourists who have visited the place for holidays. The region has a very warm climate perfect for those who like to soak under the sun. It’s full of interesting historical monuments, friendly people, reasonable prices and a great overall environment. The enticing crystal blue water is great! The food is delicious, the people are friendly and the amusement spreads all the way from the west of Algarve to the east.

Algarve has diverse holiday places to fit your type of fun. Tourists can choose from rural to beach holidays or you can enjoy playing golf during the low season (winter). You will find a lot of variety of high quality courses as golf is an important tourist attraction in the region. Whether you like sweet romantic evenings or a hot burning nightlife, Algarve has always something for your delight. If you go around the place you will find elegant cafés, jet set beach clubs, from family friendly bars to all-night clubs with renowned D.J.s.

The beaches in Algarve are simply awesome! The people’s favorite will always be the Praia de Barril because of its modern facilities and the fun adventure on the way. Second in line is the Praia da Armona, where most lovers and honeymooners tend to spend the vacation full of bliss and sun. If you like to sun yourself while watching the antics (or do I mean prowess?) of surfers, windsurfers and other brave souls, then Meia Praia is the place to go.

Away from the beach, Algarve is also full of captivating culture and historical places worth visiting. The Old Town of Faro is one of the most treasured historical towns in Algarve. The best way to come by the place is to enter via the spectacular Arco da Villa Town Gate. If you are fascinated by art then Estói is the place for you. Just about 10km from Faro, Estói manifests the greatest examples of Algarvean country architecture. Another 10km and you will find yourself in São Brás de Alportel, a town market surrounded by almonds. Here you will experience having breakfast while enjoying the magnificent view from the terrace of Pousada. A very good destination to stuff exquisite and tasty food to start your tour. Going down town, the 15th Century parish church - Igreja displays a stunning classic facade and bell tower and also some very good paintings inside.

Another special feature of Algarve is its countless almond trees that are found all over the southern region. The view of the countryside is enchanting! Especially during blossom season which falls around late January to early February. For nature lovers the 'garden of Portugal' is the place you won’t go without paying a good visit. Filled with groves of lemons, oranges, carobs, pomegranates and figs growing inland, this place is an amazing to commune with nature. Lastly, the warmth and hospitality of people from Algarve is a bonus tourist attraction since you can’t often find people who are as nice as them.
