Tokyo, Japan (AHN) - A strong earthquake, measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale, struck the southern island of Okinawa at 4:42 p.m. local time Tuesday. There were no immediate reports or damage, injury or death.
The quake's epicenter was located off Okinawa's main island, at a depth of 31 miles.
Meanwhile, Japan also experienced a moderate earthquake on Saturday which hit the northeastern part of the country under the seabed off Ibaraki prefecture, measuring a magnitude of 5.1 on the Richter scale.
