Muskogee, OK (AHN) - FBI agents have arrested a Texas man in Oklahoma for trying to sell a drum of cyanide to the white supremacist group Aryan Brotherhood.
Jeffrey Don Detrixhe, 38, of Higgins, Texas, was arrested Monday. He was scheduled to appear in Oklahoma's eastern district court Wednesday on charges of possession of and intent to use a chemical weapon.
The arrest was made after Detrixhe offered to sell a 25-gallon drum containing 100 pounds of cyanide briquettes to an FBI informant for $10,000 and an AK-47 assault rifle. Detrixhe also told the informant in a meeting that he could turn the cyanide into a poisonous gas by mixing it with hydrochloric acid.
Court documents also quoted Detrixhe as telling the informant in another conversation covertly recorded by the FBI that "I could kill a city with that ... Euthanize a whole village."
FBI agents raided Detrixhe's home and recovered an unspecified amount of cyanide.
The informant led Detrixhe to believe the cyanide would be used by the Aryan Brotherhood, the FBI said.
