Unfortunately, these recruiters (military sales people) forget to tell you that joining the military doesn’t mean you will be serving your country. Putting your life on the line so Exxon-Mobil can harvest the largest profits of any corporation in the history of our country at the expense of our nation’s reputation might be looked on by history as rather foolish. There’s a good reason why veterans are committing to anti-war movements today, and now is the time to really learn what politics is about. All we’re suggestion is that you get a second opinion. At least, check out all your options. Just about any reason under the sun for not serving in the military, even when there was a draft, will do. While your fellow classmates are succeeding at vocational colleges or their preferred four-year educational institutions, you could be looking forward to thousands of dollars of debt, limited choices in a college after you complete your time with the armed forces, and even fewer options to get ahead in life with a degree that you really wanted. How is this a ‘better’ choice?

The number 1 and number 2 duties of the staff at all US Embassies are spying and selling arms. Our embassies are nothing more than the local offices of the Pentagon and CIA. We are, and have been for decades, the largest arms dealers in the world. That is what we do best. We leave the manufacturing of most non-war products to others. Don’t die for a lie.
